Detailed Description

This is the abstract interface of the wait static type-bound procedure component of timer_type abstract type that keeps the system waiting for the specified amount of seconds.

This procedure is functionally equivalent to the popular non-standard sleep() procedure offered by some compiler vendors.

Note
Note that even though the system sleeps during the idle time, the timer clock is still ticking.
